2008 ADA/DC of Nebraska Milk Vending Grants
Overview
Milk is a powerful source of calcium and other essential nutrients which make it a healthful alternative to offer to your students in your schools vending machines. By placing a milk vending machine at your school, you will allow your students to make healthier beverage choices and improve their nutrient intake at a time when the majority of youth fail to meet the recommendations of the USDA's Food Pyramid and fall short of meeting recommendations for key nutrients such as calcium.
