
2010 Nebraska Dairy Checkoff Scholarships
Deadline
The 2010 Dairy Checkoff Scholarship Application must be postmarked on or before Monday, April 26, 2010.
Overview
The American Dairy Association and Dairy Council of Nebraska will award up to ten (10) $500 scholarships during the 2010 calendar year. The scholarships are open to any college major or degree, regardless of the length of the program.
Winners will be randomly drawn during the June Dairy Month Proclamation. The awards will be sent directly to the recipients by July 31, 2010. The award check will be issued jointly to the student and the educational institution the student plans to attend. Eligibility includes one award per family per year. Applicants must reapply for subsequent years.
Who
In order to qualify, applicants must be one of the following:
- a Nebraska dairy producer or,
- a Nebraska dairy producer’s spouse, child, step-child or,
- have a Nebraska dairy producer as your legal guardian.
AND,
- be considered a full-time student at an accredited educational institution (The Dairy Certification Course, a joint effort between Southeast Community College and the University of Nebraska Extension , is eligible).
AND,
- the Nebraska producer to whom the applicant refers in the application must have an active dairy operation as of January 1, 2010 as evidenced by receiving a milk check.

- the 2010 Dairy Checkoff Scholarship Application Form
- the 2010 Dairy Checkoff Scholarship Media Release Form
- the 2010 Dairy Checkoff Scholarship Essay Form
